Matthew Spalding

Matthew Spalding is an adjunct fellow with the Kirby Center, and director of the B. Kenneth Simon Center for American Studies at The Heritage Foundation, where he also is the project leader of the First Principles Initiative. He has taught at Hillsdale College, George Mason University, the Catholic University of America, and Claremont McKenna College. He is a fellow of the Claremont Institute for the Study of Statesmanship and Political Philosophy. A member of the Board of Academic Advisors at Mount Vernon Estate, Spalding is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College and holds a Ph.D. in political science from The Claremont Graduate School. He is also a contributor to Fox News.
