Central Hall stands as a symbol of Hillsdale College's independence.  Much-needed renovations include the addition to the north entrance of a 1,200-square-foot porch that will open onto the quadrangle.  Constructed in 1875 in the Second Empire architectural style, Central Hall's north entrance is part of the Founders Campaign renovation goals.  The projected cost is $1,450,000.

Central Hall and its magnificent clocktower dominate the landscape from all directions.  Originally housing the deans' offices, chapel, social room, and library, Central Hall today is dedicated to administrative offices, including Admissions, Business Office, Dean of Men, Dean of Women, Financial Aid, and Registrar.
