One of the major construction goals of the Founders Campaign is the Chapel and Performing Arts Auditorium.  To be located just west of Howard Music Hall, the 41,879-square-foot building will include a wrap-around balcony and a performance area that will seat a full orchestra and a 100-voice choir.  Total  seating capacity will be 1,100 (450 on the sloped main floor; 450 in the balcony; 200 in the pit lift area).  The estimated cost for construction is $17.3 million.  Included in this cost is $850,000 for the purchase and installation of a pipe organ.  To establish an endowed maintenance fund for the chapel, the College will seek an additional $4.2 million.
