Remaining in Cappadocia, we'll visit the natural citadel of Uçhisar.
A 45-minutes hike will take us on to Göreme where we'll walk through the open-air museum that was once a city of churches carved from caves, decorated by early Christians with frescoes depicting scenes from the Bible.
In the evening, there will be an optional opportunity (cost: roughly $25/person) to attend a performance of the famous Whirling Dervishes, mystical members of the Sufi sect of Islam, whose mosque (and tomb of the sect's founder, Rumi) we will visit next Thursday in Konya.
