Road Map of Seven Churches Region

Today we visit the spectacular ruins of Ephesus.  While we are touring this ancient city, we will take part in "The Ephesus Meeting" of several colleges, universities and seminaries, for which the city's famous Celsus Library has been reserved from 9pm to 11pm.

Ephesus

Ephesus began as a port city at the mouth of the Cayster River and grew to become one of the leading cities of the world, linking the wetern end of trade routes in Anatolia with the rest of the Mediterranean.  Here, in addition to the great amphitheater, we'll see the Odeon, the Bouleterion, the fountains, the beautiful Library of Celsus, the Curetes Street, the Temple of Artemis, the monument to Trajan, and inscriptions galore.
