Road Map of Bergama / Cannakale Region


Pergamon was the site of one of the seven churches John addresses in the Revelation.  We will visit the acropolis where there is a great Hellenistic theatre and Trajan's temple.  We will also make a stop at Asclepion, the sanctuary and healing center built in the name of the healing god, Asclepius.



Pergamon: Drive to Pergamon, visit Acropolis, the Temple of Athena, the Library, the Royal Palaces, the Temple of Trajan (the Great Theatre), the Temple of Dionysos, the Altar of Zeus (St. John denounced it as the throne of Satan in his reference to Pergamon church members) and the view of the Red Basilica.  Visit the Archeological Museum and the ruins of the Asklepion (medical center of the ancient world).
