The student actively participates with children, in both individual and group settings and assists the classroom teacher as requested. The practicum requires a minimum of 44 clock hours. EDU 506 - Preschool Directed Teaching

Requires planning and delivering instruction for preschool children. Students teach and assist at the Mary Proctor Randall Preschool during morning or afternoon sessions for the entire semester. The student must plan his or her program so that each morning or afternoon is free from courses which meet during EDU 506. Students cannot enroll in Tuesday-Thursday classes that meet before 3:00 p.m. Students cannot enroll in Monday-Wednesday-Friday classes that meet at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. Prerequisites: EDU 476 and admission to Teacher Education.
