Two credit hours (two semesters) of work in physical education activity courses are a requirement for graduation. An additional two activity courses may be taken as electives toward the 124 hours needed for a degree. For a non-teaching major, which requires 36 hours, the student must take the following required courses:

BIO 308 Human Anatomy and Physiology
PED 122 History and Philosophy of Physical Education and Sport
PED 290 Health Science
PED 390 Athletic Training
PED 400 Kinesiology
PED 410 Organization and Administration
PED 490 Exercise Physiology

In addition, one swimming and three activity electives are required. This will leave 12 credits of elective courses within the major.

All majors must also pass written and oral comprehensive exams during their senior year.
