Würzburg, Germany

Hillsdale’s Würzburg Intensive Summer Language and Culture Program affords intermediate to advanced German students the opportunity to live and study for an entire month in one of Germany’s oldest and most beautiful university towns known for its rich history, historical architecture, and southern German charm.

This immersive program of language and culture learning is taught by Hillsdale College German faculty, takes place in July, and earns participating students five academic credit hours toward their degree.

Classes meet every day for four hours in the morning. During numerous excursions and cultural activities outside of class, students and faculty find time for countless hours of additional conversational German. Students are housed in the Kileaneum Youth Center located near the Würzburger Residenz (City Palace).

The Würzburg program includes two weekend excursions to Berlin and Munich, as well as a theatre trip to Nuremberg or Jagsthausen to view a German theatrical classic.

Scholarship aid is available.
