Students: Please refer to the Network Storage page for instructions on how to access your personal drive. Remote Desktop Connection is available for faculty and staff users only.
Faculty & Staff: A full Remote Desktop Connection allows access to Datatel, AS/400, Microsoft Office, and other campus applications. With a remote session, you can access all the your files stored on the Hillsdale College network without reentering your user name or password. Using a remote session is generally more efficient than connecting directly to a drive and is the recommended method for working remotely.
To make a Remote Desktop Connection the the Hillsdale College server:
Note to first time users: A Security Warning dialog box may appear the first time you arrive at this page which asks if you want to install and run "Remote Desktop ActiveX Control". You must choose Yes for this to work. If you pressed No by mistake then press F5 to refresh and have the dialog box appear again.

After entering your username and password, click the Connect button. If a warning box appears asking if you trust the computer you are connecting to, click Yes.
Once you are connected to the remote system, you may need to re-enter your username and password.
When you are finished with your session, simply click the Start Menu, then Log Off. After you have been logged off of the remote computer, close your browser window.
