Your ResNet connection provides a direct connection to the Internet. It does not use phone lines. Therefore, if your computer tries to dial out, your connection will fail. You must change your Internet connection properties from dial-up to a LAN connection. Follow the steps below.
From within Internet Explorer, click Tools, then Internet Options, then click the Connections tab.

Under Dial-up and Virtual Private Network settings, mark the box next to “Never dial a connection”. Also click on the LAN settings button and make sure the box next to “Automatically detect settings” is checked.

Click OK, then click OK again.
