Users may receive their email off campus by using email programs such as Microsoft's Outlook and Apple's Mail. For the incoming server type, select IMAP.  For the incoming mail server address, type mail.hillsdale.edu.

Note that it is not possible to send (i.e. use the college's SMTP server) from off campus. You may be able to send using your ISP's SMTP server (i.e. mail.comast.com). You will need to contact your ISP for details about that server's name and how to authenticate.
