Students at Hillsdale Academy excel within its academically challenging environment. Over the past twelve years in comparative standing with schools across the nation, Hillsdale Academy students in Grades K-8 had an average ranking at the 96th percentile or above on the national Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, while students in the Upper School consistently scored on a par with the best independent schools in Michigan and well above the national averages on the SAT and the ACT every year since the Upper School’s inception. Several students have also earned Advanced Placement Scholar recognition—a significant accomplishment since Hillsdale Academy offers no courses that are dedicated to studying for these exams. To date, Hillsdale Academy graduates have been accepted to over 70 colleges and universities, and 21% of our graduates have received National Merit Scholarship recognition.
In July 2006, the Hillsdale Academy was named a nominating school for the John Motley Morehead Foundation scholarship.
