Colts Prepare For Another Year
Hillsdale Academy athletic teams aim to continue the recent success and competitive tradition of excellence during the 2012/2013 school year. The Colts will field varsity teams in boys soccer, girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball, cross country, golf, and track and field. Academy teams compete in the South Central Athletic Association and Independent Soccer League.
Since 2002, Hillsdale Academy has earned 45 Conference Championships; 12 District Championships, 9 Regional Championships, 3 MITCA Girls Track & Field Team State Championships, 6 MITCA Girls Track & Field Team State Top Three finishes; 14 MHSAA Top Ten Finishes All Sports, 2 Class D Coaches Associations Boys Cross Country State Championships, 2 Wendy's Heisman Michigan Athletes of the Year, 9 MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award Winners; 9 Michigan Coach of the Year nominations, 40 All-State Athletes, 33 Academic All-State Athletes, 9 Individual MHSAA State Champignons, 7 MHSAA Tournament Sportsmanship Awards. Additionally, 25 student-athletes went on to NCAA Division I, II, or III athletics and had 2 NCAA Division II All-Americans.
Chip Blood and Elyse Lisznyai were named 2013 MHSAA Scholar-Athletes.
