Undefeated Regular Season for the Lady Colts
The girls varsity basketball team pulled off one of the most difficult tasks in high school sports by going undefeated at 19-0 during the regular season. The Colts defeated schools in Class B, C and D along the way to their perfect season and won the Mid-South Conference Championship for the third year in a row.
The post season went well again for the Colts as they captured their third district title in a row defeating Waldron, Pittsford and North Adams. After twenty-two wins and no losses, the season came to an end in the Regional Semi-Finals against Class D powerhouse Portland St. Pats. This marked the end of high school basketball for seniors Sara Blackstock, Amanda Cole, Caitlyn Hubbard and Clara Leutheuser. All four seniors were honored as all-conference along with junior floor leader Connaught Blood and freshman Heather Lantis. Blood was also named honorable mention all-state which marks the first such award for Hillsdale Academy girls basketball.
The team was coached by Jeff Hubbard (5th year) and assisted by Kevin Reed (1st year). In just five seasons, Coach Hubbard's teams have won four conference titles and three districts and established the program as one of the top in Class D schools.
