Though many factors influence your college decision, one factor often stands out as the most influential: cost.  At Hillsdale College, we are committed to providing the best education to our students at the most reasonable cost possible.  Because Hillsdale College chooses to remain completely financially independent from federal and state taxpayer support, we offer privately funded tuition assitance to qualifying students.  In fact, we allocate over $20,000,000 to financial aid each year, resulting in an average aid package of nearly $16,000 per student (including institutional scholarships, grants, and loans).

To supplement your family’s contribution and make your private education affordable, we offer scholarships to students based on academic performance, extracurricular involvement, athletic ability (as a NCAA Division II school), and fine arts talents.  In addition to performance-based scholarships, we also offer need-based scholarships, grants, and low-interest loans.

You will be interested to learn that The Princeton Review consistently recognizes Hillsdale College as a "Best Value," and in 2012, Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine ranked Hillsdale #20 in its list of the top 100 values in liberal arts colleges.
