Ashlee Crowder named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week
Freshman earns first honor of career
September 15, 2008 - Freshman outside hitter Ashlee Crowder was named the GLIAC South volleyball Player of the Week Mondcay. The award was announced by the conference office.

Crowder helped lead the Chargers to a 3-0 week last week, news story imageposting more than three kills per set, and recorded a total of 24 kills in conference wins over Ashland and Tiffin last weekend.

Hillsdale, ranked 19th in the nation, is off to a 10-2 start to the season, and Crowder's strong play has been a factor in that start. She has recorded double digits in kills in seven of the team's first 12 matches, and leads the team with 111 kills on the season. She delivered five service aces in Saturday's 3-0 sweep of Tiffin University, and matched her career high with 13 kills in Friday's 3-1 win over Ashland University.

Crowder played her prep volleyball at Jenison High School. To view the full press release, click on the link below.
