MTU scored three straight points to take a 24-23 lead. But the Chargers came back, in identical fashion to Friday night, scoring the fnial three points to win the first set 26-24. A solo block by freshman Clara Leutheuser and a kill by senior Stephanie Booms finished off the win for Hillsdale.

The Chargers hung tough and built a 23-15 lead in the fourth set. But Hillsdale ran out of available rotations, and MTU took full advantage, serving aggressively and forcing the Charger defense into uncomfortable situations. Smith got into an excellent groove offensively, and finished with a team-high 14 kills. Freshman Ashlee Crowder had 13 kills, while Leutheuser had 11 kills and a solo block. Junior Emily Bennett had seven kills and two solo blocks, while Booms added six kills, nine digs and 44 assists.
