Cardinals edge Chargers by slimmest of margins
All three sets decided by two points in volleyball classic
October 11, 2008 - The final score of Saturday's classic volleyball match between Hillsdale and Saginaw Valley State will go down as a 3-0 win by the Cardinals. But that score in no way indicated how close this match was.

Saginaw Valley State earned its first win over Hillsdale in 10 news story imageyears with set wins of 25-23, 36-34 and 27-25 at Jesse Philips Arena. SVSU is now 15-4 overall and 7-4 in the GLIAC, while the Chargers drop to 13-8 overall and 5-6 in the GLIAC.

Hillsdale committed 13 attack errors in the 36-34 second set.

Saginaw Valley State outblocked Hillsdale 9-2 in the match, and held the Chargers to a .194 attack percentage in the second set.
