2007-08: Named pre-season honorable mention All-American by Street & Smith’s Basketball Magazine and by D2basketball.com...Took his game to a brand-new level, leading the GLIAC in scoring average (19.3)...Named Second-Team All-GLIAC South Division and Second-Team All-Region...Set career-highs in nearly every statistical category...Scored more points in 07-08 than he did in his first two seasons combined...Named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week three times...Became first Charger player in five years to score more than 1,000 points in less than three seasons...Became first Hillsdale player in more than 10 years to score more than 40 points in a game when he had 41 against Wayne State Feb. 2.

2006-07: Took the next step forward in becoming one of the best “five-men” in the conference...Set career highs in most major offensive categories, including points, assists, field goal percentage and rebounds...Scored career-high 28 points at Wayne State on Dec. 9...Has blocked four or more shots in a game several times in his career...Increased his field goal percentage by 66 points over his redshirt-freshman season.

2005-06: Made big impact in his first season on the active roster...After scoring in single-digits in his first 12 games, tallied 10 or more points in eight of the team’s final 16 games...Scored a career-high 23 points in 87-7- home win over Lake Superior State on Jan. 26...Scored at least 10 points in four straight games starting on Jan. 3...Ranked among the GLIAC’s leaders in blocked shots with 50.

2004-05: Redshirted.

High School: Led the Holland Christian Maroons to 31 wins in his two varsity seasons. Improved tremendously as a senior, averaging 22 points, eight rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots per game in 2003-04. Comes from a family of basketball players. His uncle Wade played professional basketball in France, while two other uncles played for Hope College. Seven of his family members are six feet tall or taller. Selected All-Conference, All-Area and Third Team All-State following senior season.
