Katie Cezat named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week
Seventh time in her career she's won the award
November 18, 2008 - Charger senior women's basketball player Katie Cezat has picked up this season where she left off last season in more ways than one.

Cezat was named the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week Tuesday evening. The award was announced by the conference office.

Cezat led Hillsdale College to a 2-0 opening weekend record at the Missouri S&T Tournament in Rolla, Mo. Cezat was named the tournament MVP after averaging 27 points and 13.5 rebounds per game in the Chargers' wins.

Cezat scored 32 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in Hillsdale's 82-63 win over the host Miners Sunday afternoon. Missouri S&T, like Hillsdale, qualified for the NCAA Tournament a year ago.

In 2007-08, Cezat was named the division's player of the week six times, including five weeks in a row in the middle of the season. She went on to be named First-Team All-American last year, and broke 10 school records.
