He's an All-American! Tim Jagielski earns lofty status with high finish at national cross country meet
November 22, 2008 - Freshman men's cross country runner Tim Jagielski capped an award-laden first season at Hillsdale College with one of the top honors he will earn: that of an All-American.

Jagielski was the Chargers' lone representative at the 2008 NCAA Division II Men's Cross Country championships, held at Slippery ROck University. He finished 42nd overall, but was the No. 28 American runner, earning him All-American status.

"We're so excited for Tim and this is a great honor for him and Hillsdale College," said a proud coch Bill Lundberg. "Just a freshman and he's now an NCAA Division II All-American!"

Jagielski finished the race with a time of 32:18. He ran the first mile of the race in 5:08, which placed him among the overall leaders at that pace.

Jagielski finished second in the conference meet and was named the GLIAC Freshman of the Year earlier this season.
