November 26, 2008 - Hillsdale College senior Stephanie Booms earned one more accolade in one of the most decorated careers in the history of Charger volleyball.

Wednesday, Booms was named to the AVCA First-Team All-Region list. This is the second time in her career Booms has earned such an honor, with the first coming after the 2006 season.

Booms was a big part of Hillsdale's most successful set of four years in the program's history, from 2005-08. She is Hillsdale's all-time leader in assists with 4,640, and ranks among the top 10 all-time in total blocks and digs in school history. She has also been named First-Team All-GLIAC three times and has made the GLIAC All-Academic Team three times.

Booms led the Chargers to a total won-loss record of 93-33 during her career, and the team won back-to-back GLIAC South Division championships in 2006 and 2007. A biology major, Booms has an overall grade point average of 3.897.
