Charger Track & Field team start 2009 with successful day at Central Michigan University
The men's track & field team finished with a balanced effort at Central Michigan Univesity on Friday night. The Chargers finished with two 1st place and two 2nd place finishers.
Four-time All-American Jared Krout picked up where he left off last season by earning 1st place in the long jump with a mark of 6.77m (22-02 ½).
In the 800m run Chuck Wysong took 1st place with a time of 2:01.08. Finishing a half second behind him in 2nd place was younger brother Jeff with a time of 2:01.56.
Others earning 2nd place finishes for the Chargers were Andrew Dodson and Tim Jagielski. Dodson, and All-American in the high jump, had a mark of 1.98m (6-06). Jagielski, already an All-American in cross country this year, finished the mile in 4:28.27.
Other top finishers for the Chargers include Kelby Rosengarten (60m hurdles, 3rd) and Aaron Falk (Weight Throw, 5th)
