March 6, 2009 - For the second time in three years, the Hillsdale College women's basketball team will play for the GLIAC Tournament Championship.

Hillsdale (26-3) will face Michigan Tech University at 5 p.m. Saturday at Houghton's SDC Gymnasium. This will mark the third meeting of the season between the GLIAC North and South Division champions.

Hillsdale last won the conference tournament in 2002, and lost to Gannon University in the 2007 tournament finals.

WCSR 92.1-FM in Hillsdale will carry the radio feed for all Charger women's basketball games in the tournament. The feed will originate from WKMJ in Houghton.

Hillsdale and Michigan Tech each won on the other team's home court in the regular season. The Huskies used a last-second basket to defeat the Chargers, 54-52, in Hillsdale on Jan. 15. Hillsdale bounced back to put together one of its best performances of the season in an exciting 98-91 win over MTU on Feb. 21.
