Katie Cezat earns second WBCA Player of the Month award
March 5, 2009 - For the second time this season, Charger senior women's basketball player Katie Cezat has been named the WBCA Player of the Month. But this time, the honor covered the month of February, and unlike in December, she does not have to share it with anyone.

Cezat put together an incredible month of February while leading Hillsdale to a 7-1 record in the month. She averaged 35 points and 18 rebounds per game, to go along with four assists and three blocked shots per game, as she continued one of the finest seasons ever seen in Division II college basketball.

Cezat ranks first in the nation in rebounding, blocked shots and field goals made, and is second in scoring average and in free throws made. She set seven GLIAC single-season records in 2008-09, and holds 19 school records. She was named the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week all four weeks in February and won the award 11 times overall this year.

Hillsdale is currently in Houghton, Michigan for the GLIAC Women's Basketball Tournament Final Four. The Chargers will take on Grand Valley State at 7 p.m. Friday night.
