March 12, 2009 - Hillsdale College senior men's basketball player Tony Gugino was named to the Daktronics Second-Team All-Region team Wednesday night. The voting was conducted by sports information directors at schools located in the region.

Gugino wrapped up a fine career at Hillsdale last week as one of the school's best scorers and rebounders of all time. Gugino graduates as Hillsdale's career leader in blocked shots, and led the Chargers to a 16-11 overall record in 2008-09. Hillsdale finished second in the GLIAC South Division and barely missed out on qualifying for the NCAA Division II regional tournament.
