April 12, 2009 - Fresh off earning Athlete of the Week honors from the GLIAC office this week, junior Jazmin Williams won the 400m hurdles for the second straight week. At the Miami Team Challenge Williams finished with a time of 1:01.28, a slight improvement from her time last week and resetting her school record.

The 4x400 meter relay team finished in second place at the meet. The team consisting of Marta Scheiwe, Jasmine Mays, Jazmin Williams and Circe Cansino, finished with a time of 3:54.58, just behind the host school Miami of Ohio.

Scheiwe also competed in the 400m dash on Saturday taking third place with a time of 57.27

Jennifer Shaffer took second place in the 800m run with a time of 2:19.47 while Gwen Buchhop finished third in the javelin with a throw of 35.65m (116-11).

The Chargers next compete at the EMU Twilight meet on Saturday, April 18th.
