May 1, 2009 - Hillsdale College junior softball player Devon Trimmer was named First-Team All-Conference Friday afternoon. The All-GLIAC teams were released by the conference office at the tournament, being held at Northwood

University Friday afternoon.
Trimmer put together an outstanding season for Hillsdale, leading the team in batting average (.320), runs scored (30), hits (48), doubles (11) and total bases (66).
After dealing with an injury-plagued sophomore season, Trimmer started all 44 games for the Chargers in 2009, hitting leadoff and playing in center field. She was previously named honorable mention All-GLIAC as a freshman in 2007, when she hit close to .400 for the season.
Trimmer is the first Hillsdale player to earn First-Team accolades since Ashley Wolff was named First-Team All-GLIAC at the catcher position after the 2005 season.
Senior pitcher Jamie Vandenburgh and freshman infielder Jennifer Berlet were each named honorable mention All-GLIAC as well.
Vandenburgh had her best season on the mound in 2009 for the Chargers, leading the team in wins, innings pitched and strikeouts.
Berlet was a standout among the team's very talented freshman class. She was second on the team in hits with 37, and had three home runs and 21 RBI for the season.
