Brad Monastiere was hired as the Sports Information Director for Hillsdale College on June 6, 2005. In the summer of 2011, his title became Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Event Management.
His duties include issuing press releases, updating and maintaining the school’s athletic website, media relations, and home game management.
Monastiere has worked as the tournament host for three GLIAC volleyball championship tournaments and two NCAA regional volleyball tournaments. He has also served as the national director of the Daktronics All-American program for volleyball from 2008-10.
In June 2008, he received the Grant-Burger Media Award from the AVCA, in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of the sport of volleyball. Only eight such awards went out to Division II SIDs in the country.
Brad is a 1996 graduate of Central Michigan University, with a degree in journalism. He’s won several awards for sportswriting at the collegiate and professional level. Brad and his wife Katie were married in July 2010. They live in Jackson with their dog Lucy.
