October 26, 2009 - Another big win last weekend shot the Hillsdale Colleeg football team up a few notches in the latest AFCA Division II Top 25 poll as well as the Super Region 3 poll.

Hillsdale is fresh off a 45-14 rout of Wayne State las Saturday. The Chargers are 3-0 against ranked teams this season, but before the win over the Warriors, were 0-1 as a ranked team in 2009.
Twenty-second is the highest national Division II ranking ever earned by the Chargers this decade. The team was previously ranked 25th heading into the final week of the 2007 season.
Super Region 3 can make as case as the toughest region in Division II. Four of the top eight teams in this week's national poll reside in this region. The two lowest-ranked teams in the national poll are Hillsdale and Saginaw Valley State, who are third and fifth in the region, respectively.
Factors like strength of schedule and won-loss record vs. common opponents all play a factor in the regional rankings. The regional rankings are compiled by a mathematical formula, whereas the national poll is created by a vote of coaches around the country.
