She's All-American! Ashley Quick runs fastest-ever cross country time, earns All-American honors
November 21, 2009 - Junior Ashley Quick became the first Hillsdale Colleeg female cross country runner to ever earn All-American status Saturday afternoon.
Quick was named a 2009 Division II Women's Cross Country All-American Saturday at the NCAA Cross Country championships, hosted by Southern Indiana University.
She finished 36th overall at the meet with a school-record time of 21:55.4. She earned All-American status by finishing among the top 40 overall runners at the meet.
This is the second straight year the Hillsdale College cross country team has had a runner earn All-American status. In 2008, then-freshman Tim Jagielski was named All-American. Quick's individual All-American honor is the first in the history of the women's cross country program competing as an NCAA Division II institution.
