Women's basketball team falls to 0-2 after loss to Southwest Minnesota State
November 21, 2009 - The Hillsdale College women's basketball team was unable to hang on to a nine-point halftime lead Saturday night, and losto to Southwest Minnesota State University, 63-58, Saturday night in Minnesota.

The Chargers, 0-2 on the season, are off until next weekend when they play in a two-day Thanksgiving weekend tournament in Louisville, Ky.

Hillsdale took a 33-24 halftime lead over the host Mustangs, limiting the team to just 32 percent shooting from the field for the game.

But the Chargers took just eight free throws in the game, making six. On the other side, the Mustangs were 18-for-26 from the charity stripe, more than covering the final margin of victory for the home team.

Senior Janay Miller led Hillsdale in scoring for the second game in a row, this time with 19 points. Sophomore Katie Bildner grabbed a career-high nine rebounds, and had six points. Senior Brooke Knight and freshman Emily Anderson each scored 11 points for Hillsdale.
