December 12, 2009 - The start of the GLIAC schedule is just what the doctor ordered for the Hillsdale College women's basketball team.
Playing in front of the home fans for the first time this season, the Chargers played with aggression and confidence in winning their third straight, 94-74 over Ferris State University. Hillsdale is now 3-4 overall and 3-0 in the GLIAC.
Guard play figured to be a strength of the team coming into this season, and in their home opener, the Chargers got outstanding

play from their talented backcourt.
As a team, Hillsdale nailed 12 3-point baskets, just two shy of the school record. Leading the parade was sophomore guard Chelsea Harrison (pictured), who hit five of her game-high six 3-pointers in the first half.

Hillsdale's guards also helped the team to a 20-3 edge in steals on the Bulldogs. The Chargers were plus-17 in turnover margin and had an impressive 14 offensive rebounds.
Senior guard Brooke Knight had a finel all-around contest with 10 points, nine assists, five steals and four rebounds.
