The National Parliamentary Debate Association currently lists Hillsdale’s team as tied for 9th place overall out of the 205 programs currently ranked by the organization. The team’s high ranking is based on performances at a number of tournaments this semester, including competitions hosted by Western Kentucky University, Bowling Green State University, and Loyola University, all of which resulted in 1st place sweepstakes finishes for the team. The team kicks off the New Year with two tournaments over the weekend of January 16th, where they will attempt to continue climbing the rankings at tournaments hosted by both Texas Tech University and Butler University. The Debate Team is led by Assistant Professor of Speech Jeremy Christensen.
