2009-10: Burt was a strong contributor to the team as a freshman both as an individual and on relay teams. She was a member of the 400 yard freestyle team that took 3rd at the Calvin Winter Invite. She also finished 10th in the 50 free with a time of 24.77 at the Calvin Invite. At the tri-meet hosted by UIndy she took 4th in the 200 yard free with a time of 2:04.74. She was a key member of the relay teams at the GLIAC Championship; she swam on the 400 yard freestyle relay that placed 6th, the 800 yard freestyle relay team that took 5th, and she was a member of the 200 yard freestyle relay team that took 6th with a time of 1:39.45.

High School: Enjoyed an award-filled career at Rochester Stoney Creek High School, both on the individual and team levels....Named team MVP of the Cougars in 2007-08 and 2008-09, and was team captain as a senior...Holds school records in the following events: 100 free, 200 IM, 200 free relay, and 400 free relay...Qualified for the state meet in all four years of her career, and was named an Oakland Activities Association Scholar-Athlete four times...Team was OAA White Division champs in 2008, and finished 13th at the Division 2 state meet that same season...Was also a member of the National Honor Society.
