Personal: Born January 5, 1990...Parents are Pete and Bernadette...Is the second member of her family to attend Hillsdale College, with her cousin Jessica Jorissen preceding her....Is a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry...Named to the Dean's List in Fall 2009, Spring 2009, and Spring 2010...Named to the GLIAC All-Academic team in 2010...Member of Tri-Beta, Sigma Zeta, Athletes in Action, and the Hillsdale College Student Athletic Advisory Committee...Volunteers at the Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital.

2009-10: Okonkowski had a spectacular sophomore season culminating in her returning to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships for her second straight year…She was also named to the 2010 GLIAC Women’s Swimming and Diving All-Academic team…She had a strong start to the year at the Calvin Winter Invite, taking second in the 200 IM with a time of 2:09.62, and earning an NCAA A-cut in the 100 fly with a time of 56.90…She took second in the 200 free at the UIndy tri-meet with a time of 1:58.36, and first in the 100 fly at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Invite…She was also a member of the 200 yard medley relay team that took second at the Stevens Point Invite with a time of 1:53.33… She earned a series of top-5 finishes, and NCAA B-cut times at the GLIAC Championships in three different events…She shaved almost five seconds off her previous season-best in the 200 fly, finishing fourth, and turning in a time of 2:08.10…She took third in the 100 fly with a time of 57.31, and fourth in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:09.21…She was also a key member of the 200 yard medley relay that took sixth with a time of 1:48.62.

2008-09: Emerged as one of team’s top point-scorers as a freshman...Named the GLIAC Women’s Swimming Athlete of the Week on Jan. 28, the only Charger to earn the honor last season...Finished the 200 IM in 2:07.76 on Feb. 12 at the GLIAC championships.

High School: Okonkowski finished her prep career at Allen Park High School as one of the most highly decorated swimmers in the downriver area...Two-time team MVP and was team captain in 2007...Was named All-Downriver and All-Conference four times, and was a finalist at the Division I state meet in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle all four years of her career.
