Junior Ashlee Crowder named GLIAC South Division Player of the Week for second time this season
October 4, 2010 - Charger junior Ashlee Crowder was named the GLIAC South Division's Player of the Week by the conference office Monday afternoon. It is the fifth time in her distinguished career she has earned the GLIAC's weekly honor.
Crowder helepd lead the 14th-ranked Hillsdale College volleyball team to a pair of 3-0 sweeps on the road over South Division foes Wayne State and Findlay over the weekend. In each match,

she totaled 13 kills, with an overall weekend hitting percentage of .389.
Early in Sunday's match at Findlay, Crowder also recorded her 1,000th career kill, becoming just the sixth player in school history to reach that milestone.
Crowder, a 2009 AVCA All-American, has put together another impressive season for the 13-1 Chargers. She ranks second in the GLIAC in kills per set (4.16), and is sixth in hitting percentage (.310). Hillsdale has won 12 in a row overall, nine of those in 3-0 sweeps.
Crowder played her high school volleyball at Jenison.
