October 20, 2010 - In its first home match in three weeks, the #10-ranked Hillsdale College volleyball team encountered little resistance from its opponent in a Wednesday night GLIAC match.
The Chargers swept the University of Findlay Oilers 3-0 at Jesse Philips Arena. Hillsdale posted its most lopsided victory of the

season, winning the sets by scores of 25-10, 25-7 and 25-17.
Hillsdale has now won 18 in a row and is 19-0 overall and 13-0 in the GLIAC. The team will be back home again Saturday afternoon, taking on Ohio Dominican University starting at 2 p.m.
Hillsdale dominated the match in a way a team ranked 10th in the nation would, hitting a scorching .483 in the first set, and even better .560 in the third set, ending the match with no drama. None of the three sets lasted more than 17 minutes.
Sophomore Lauren Grover set a new team season-high for hitting percentage in a match, hitting .875 to lead Hillsdale. She had seven kills with no errors on eight attempts. Fellow middle hitter Clara Leutheuser was a blocking machine, getting two solo blocks and seven block assists, for a season-high of nine total. She shared team-high honors in kills with Grover with seven.
Every player on Hillsdale's roster played, including freshman Sydney Lenhart (#7, pictured), who had two digs and a service ace while passing the ball effectively during her time on the court.
Junior Apryl Schmucker had 26 assists in limited action at setter for Hillsdale. The team hit .398 for the match, getting 39 kills against just four errors, a new season-low.
