Indoor Track: Active hurdler and relay runner for the team as a freshman...Anchor runner of the 1600 relay team several times, helping the team to fifth at the GVSU Big Meet and second at the GVSU Tune-Up Meet...Ran the 60 hurdles in 8.9 seconds at the SVSU Holiday Classic...Ran a 27.56 in the 200 at the GVSU Big Meet.

High School: A talented multi-sport athlete for the Warriors of West Branch High School...Played Basketball, soccer, and ran track...Was the State champ in the 100 meter hudles in 2007, as well as the runner up in the 300 meter hurdles and the 4x400 relay...In 2008 earned third place in the 100 meter hurdles at State, and 6th in the 300 meter hurdles...Finished up the 2010 track season by placing fifth in the 100 meter hurdles, and third in the 300 meter hurdles...Holds school records in the 100 meter hurdles, 300 meter hurdles, and the 4x400 meter relay...Was class Salutatorian, and winner of the American Legion and Governmentalism Test in 2009...Was a Freshman Focus Mentor, and a member of National Honor Society and Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD).
