NABC Division II All-District Release

March 15, 2011 - Hillsdale College junior forward Brent Eaton was named Second-Team All-Midwest District Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

The All-District honor, which is equivalent to an All-Region caliber award, is the first earned by a Hillsdale College player since Tony Gugino in 2008-09.

Eaton was the Chargers' leading scorer in the 2010-11 season and ranked second in the GLIAC during the regular season by pouring in 16.3 points per game. He drained 63 3-point field goals during the season, and shot 40 percent from beyond the arc. He was also named First-Team All-GLIAC South Division this year.

Eaton's best game of the season came on Dec. 7 against regional finalist Ferris State, when he scored 31 points, going 5-for-8 from 3-point territory.

Eaton helped lead Hillsdale College's men's basketball team to its finest season in a decade, going 20-6 during the regular season. The Chargers won their first 13 games in a row and were ranked as high as No. 4 nationally, its highest-ever national ranking.
