Hillsdale College women's tennis team loses first match of new era, to Lake Superior State

September 2, 2011 - The new era of Hillsdale College women's tennis kicked off Friday afternoon at the Lake Superior State Tournament, being held in Sault Ste. Marie.
The Chargers played the host Lakers and lost an 8-1 decision.
Junior Brittany Parks was Hillsdale's lone winner, taking a 6-2, 6-0 victory in the No. 1 singles flight. Parks transferred to Hillsdale from the University of Oklahoma, where she played for two seasons for the Sooners.
Parks and freshman Morgan Delp played a competitve doubles match, losing to Adrienne DiVito and Tess Marton by a score of 9-8. Delp lost her match 6-1, 6-4.
Davenport 7, Hillsdale 2
In Friday's second match, Delp recorded her first career win, but the Chargers still fell with a 7-2 defeat.
Delp was victorious at No. 2 singles with a come-from-behind 5-7, 6-3, 10-6 victory. Parks picked up her second win in as many matches, by a score of 3-6, 6-2, 10-6.
