September 6, 2011 - The first GLIAC match in seven years for the Hillsdale College women's tennis team couldn't have been much tougher.

The Chargers traveled to Midland to face perennnial GLIAC power Northwood University, and were handed a 9-0 loss by the Timberwolves. Hillsdale is 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in the GLIAC and will play its home opener at 2:00 Friday vs. Ashland.

The No. 1 singles match was a competitve one, as Hillsdale's Brittany Parks lost a 6-4, 6-1 decision to Northwood's Susana Alcaraz.

Northwood won the GLIAC regular season and tournament championship each year from 2002-09.
