Box score
September 13, 2011 - The first trip to Big Rapids for the Hillsdale College women's tennis team resulted in a very competitive match, particularly across the number one and two flights in singles and doubles.
Ferris State prevailed in the match, 7-2, improving to 4-1 overall. Hillsdale, who now has 10 days off until its next match, is 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the GLIAC.
It was an epic matchup at No. 1 singes, as Ferris State's Ana Jan outlasted Hillsdale's Brittany Parks in a marathon match, winning by a score of 7-6 (7-2), 3-6, 13-11. Matches that go three sets don't get much closer than the 13-11 score in the third set.
Parks partnered with freshman Morgan Delp to win a less dramatic match, this time at No. 1 doubles, by a score of 8-1. Delp (pictured) gutted out a tough win of her own, at No. 2 singles, 5-7, 6-4, 10-6.
