Nothing spooky about this: Clara Leutheuser earns third GLIAC South Division Player of the Week honor of her career
October 31, 2011 - Hillsdale College senior volleyball player Clara Leutheuser played tricks on her opponents and was a treat for Charger fans to watch over the weekend.
Leutheuser was named the GLIAC South Division Player of the

Week for the first time this season and third time in her career Monday afternoon. The award was selected and announced by the conference office.
Leutheuser was anything but a pumpkin in 7th-ranked Hillsdale's wins over Ashland and Lake Erie over the weekend. She frightened the Eagles to the tune of nine kills in 11 attempts to help the Chargers clinch the GLIAC South Division championship Friday night.
Saturday, Leutheuser might as well have been the Wicked Witch of the West with her eight-kill, three-block performance in a 3-0 win over Lake Erie.
She didn't need any kind of costume to stand out in the team's two matches this weekend, compiling a two-match hitting percentage of .379. Her seven total blocks were sweeter than candy, and her 17 kills spook-tacular, as Hillsdale increased its current winning streak to a GLIAC-high 13 matches.
Leutheuser is a two-time All-American and ranks second on Hillsdale's career blocks list. She leads the GLIAC in both blocks per set and hitting percentage, making her a scary opponent for any ghost hunters out in the volleyball world. Hillsdale wraps up the 2011 regular season this weekend with matches at Michigan Tech and Northern Michigan.
