Women's basketball team wins season opener, 77-67 over College of Notre Dame

November 18, 2011 - Sophomore Marissa DeMott's 20 points, and four 3-point field goals, helped the Hillsdale College women's basketball team to a season-opening 77-67 win over Notre Dame (OH) Friday night in Ohio.

The Chargers shook loose of a tie game at halftime to explode for 51 second-half points. Within the first seven minutes of the second half, the Chargers jumped out to a 10-point lead, thanks to a 20-10 run keyed by two 3-point baskets by senior Katie Bildner.

Sophomore forward Angela Bisaro came off the bench to post an impressive line of 18 points with six field goals made and six free thows made. Her 18 points came in just 24 minutes of play.

Bildner and senior Chelsea Harrison each scored 15 points for Hillsdale. Junior Lea Jones had six steals and five assists in 36 minutes on the floor.
