Soph. guard scored 45 points last week
November 28, 2011 - Hillsdale College sophomore guard Marissa DeMott was named the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week Monday. The award was chosen and announced by the

conference office.
DeMott led the Charger women's basketball team to two wins in the state of Hawaii last week, notching her first two 20-point games of her career.
In Hillsdale's 89-88 win over Hawaii-Pacific on Thanksgiving Day, DeMott scored a career-high 24 points, draining five 3-point baskets. She followed up that performance with a 21-point, three-blocked shot game in the team's 70-64 win over Northwest Missouri State University Friday.
For the week, DeMott averaged 22.5 points, four rebounds, three assists and 1.5 blocks per game, while shooting 53 percent from the floor and 58 percent from 3-point territory.
The Chargers open conference play this week on the road, facing Ashland Thursday and Lake Erie Saturday.
