Ashland 77, Hillsdale 57
December 1, 2011 - The Hillsdale College women's basketball team was outscored by 11 and nine points in the two halves of Thursday night's 77-57 loss to Ashland University in Ohio. The Chargers are now 3-2 overall and 0-1 in the GLIAC and will play its second conference game of the season Saturday afternoon at Lake Erie College.
The Eagles shot 50 percent from the floor and outrebounded Hillsdale 45-31 in the contest. Ashland collected 34 defensive rebounds, thus limiting the Chargers' second chances at the basket.
Senior guard Chelsea Harrison led Hillsdale with 21 points, going 5-for-8 from 3-point territory. Junior guard Lea Jones had 10 points, seven rebounds and five steals, while sophomore forward Angela Bisaro chipped in 13 points for Hillsdale.
