December 13, 2011 - For the third time in her career, Hillsdale College senior guard Chelsea Harrison was named the GLIAC South Division Player of the Week in women's basketball. The

award was announced Tuesday afternoon and was chosen by the conference office.
Harrison helped lead the Chargers to two straight wins last week, over Findlay and Lake Superior State, by averaging 15 points and six assists per game. She led the Chargers with 18 points in Thursday's win over the Oilers, and produced 12 points and seven assists in Saturday's 84-51 win over the Lakers.
Harrison, a First-Team All-GLIAC selection last year, ranks fourth in the conference in scoring and seventh in assists per game in 2011-12. She is the second different player on the team to earn the GLIAC's weekly player of the week honor this season, joining sophomore teammate Marissa DeMott.
Harrison and the Chargers host Ashland University Saturday in Hillsdale's final game before Christmas.
