Author and former Slayton Arboretum Education and Outreach Coordinator Susan Betz will give a presentation on Monday, March 19, 2012, about her new book, Magical Moons and Seasonal Circles. In her book, she explains how weather and climate affect the herbs, animals, and insects living in our backyards. Susan is a member of the Garden Writers Association and the Herb Society of America, serving as education chair from 2006-2009, and is the former owner of the Little Farm Herb Shop in Allen. The presentation begins at 7:00 p.m. in Room A of the Dow Leadership Center and is free to the public.
